International Conference on Solid State Hydrogen
Storage
1-31-2005 to 2-1-2005 @ Hyderabad, India
Organized by: International Advanced Research
Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials
(ARCI)
There has been an unprecedented expansion
in energy usage around the world. It has
become imperative that we develop hydrogen
based energy systems in the coming years.
This will call for storage and delivery of
hydrogen as a major facet. Therefore, at
the present juncture it is essential that
the scientific community working on hydrogen
storage materials get together to find synergy
in interaction. In this effort, we are now
organizing a conference in India that would
focus on recent advances in various aspects
of hydrogen storage materials.

WestStart Clean Heavy-Duty Vehicle Conference
2-22-2005 to 2-24-2005 @ La Quinta, CA, USA
Organized by: WestStart
In the past decade, the heavy-duty vehicle
industry and fuel providers in the United
States, as well as the rest of the world,
have struggled with oil price volatility
brought on by higher demand, global insecurity,
and dwindling supplies of “cheap?oil. At
the same time, government and environmental
pressure has further increased to produce
cleaner products that both reduce emissions
and improve fuel efficiency, further stressing
demands placed on the industry. But what
are the multiple pathways to achieving this
twin goal. What are the potential solutions
to move us away from the existing “transportation
as usual?attitude and into a cleaner, more
efficient and secure energy paradigm? This
is what Clean Heavy Duty Vehicle 2005: Making
the Connection: Emissions, Efficiency and
Energy Security seeks to address in two days
of insightful sessions.
